We had the pleasure to team up with Titanic brewery to create this amber, malty, fruity, highly sessionable ale. Expertly brewed with a unique blend of New Zealand and German hops alongside traditional malts, seamlessly marrying classic brewing tradition with modern flavour innovation.
This year, St George’s Day falls on Thursday (23rd April - obviously), and in keeping with Batemans' long-standing tradition of producing seasonally relevant beers, we will once again be brewing St George’s Glory.

Scout, the brewery’s mischievous German Pointer, became an unofficial Batemans mascot through his daily visits and daring escapes. Loved by staff and locals alike, he quickly became part of brewery life.
Batemans faced major change in the early 1970s but celebrated its centenary in 1974. Despite pressure from national brewers, its commitment to traditional ales supported its independence.
As the brewing industry became dominated by big names like Whitbread and Watneys, Batemans stood firm in its independence. Discover how George Bateman’s sharp business acumen, John’s thriving wine ventures, and the expansion into Skegness helped shape the brewery’s path through a turbulent decade.
