In a tribute that merges poignant history with the excitement of modern sport, Batemans Brewery proudly announces the launch of the 2024 England Expects beer.
On the eagerly anticipated 12th of May, excitement permeated the atmosphere at the brewery as the promised good weather held true for the 5 and 10k runs.
Brewers from all over the country gathered to help Batemans celebrate our 150th anniversary. Representatives from international, national, regional, family, and craft breweries met in Batemans' 200-year-old windmill.
As part of our 150th anniversary celebrations and the launch of our new beer, 5G, we held a Pro/Am darts competition in association with ‘Chris Fletcher Darts’ and professional darts player Peter 'One Dart' Manley.
The Rewarding Success Awards recently took place at the brewery. The standards in all categories were exceptional this year, which is fitting for our 150th anniversary.
"CL" is the Roman numeral for 150, making it a fitting name for a beer celebrating 150 years of brewing. CL is crafted from a recipe inspired by letters written by George Bateman in the 1890s.
